Tom Calvert (aka Redinho) is an internationally renowned music producer, vocalist and composer from London. Calvert has released numerous solo records, including Mmm Mmm (2018) and Snake Skin Boots (2019), both of which were BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record In The World,” a full length album Redinho (2014) on Glaswegian label Numbers, a self released album Finally We’re Alone (2021), and has performed at major festivals worldwide including SXSW, Primavera and Sonar.
Calvert has collaborated with a range of artists, including Kimbra, Bonzai, Joel Culpepper and the transatlantic rap project Swet Shop Boys, featuring Riz Ahmed and Heems. Calvert produced the Swet Shop Boys full length album Cashmere (2016) and the follow up EP Sufi La (2017). Calvert performed with the group on The Colbert Show in New York, Radio 1, as well as major venues worldwide, selling out Webster Hall (NY) and Scala (London), and performing at Coachella. Prior to this, Calvert worked as the musical director for Hudson Mohawke’s live performances for the Lantern album campaign, touring Europe, the US, and Japan from 2015 to 2016.
He produced Riz Ahmed’s acclaimed album The Long Goodbye (2020), self released a solo album Finally We’re Alone (2021), and wrote and produced Greek artist Σtella’s debut album which will be released on Sub Pop in 2022.
