CID RIM, whose real name is Clemens Bacher, grew up in Vienna, learned the piano and drums at an early age, and studied jazz drums at the Vienna Conservatory. Together with friends and comrades he founded the label Affine Records.
Under the artist name CID RIM, Bacher tours South Africa several times starting in 2012, also at the invitation of "Damon Albarn's Africa Express," in the context of which he collaborates with Brian Eno, Idris Elba and the musicians of the Gorillaz, among others. He wins Gilles Peterson's World Wide Award for the official remix of Chvrches' "Recover" and subsequently works with internationally renowned artists such as Sky Ferrera, The 1975 and Theophilus London. In 2017, his debut album "Material" is released on the Scottish label LuckyMe, followed by the "Control" EP in 2019. In the autumn of 2021, CID RIM released his second album, "Songs of Vienna". The back cover boldly claims: "A psychedelic ride from the Austrian capital".
